We are proud of you- Bauchi Gov tells Speaker Dogara @ 50

Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi state has described the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara as a son and single individual who excelled to the level of his forefathers who immensely helped in establishing Nigeria as country.

‎The Governor who was represented by his deputy, Engineer Nuhu Gidado explained that, “Bauchi state is proud of its son, Dogara who is now flying the flag of leadership worthy of emulation, saying however that a great responsibility rests on his shoulders, and prayed to God to help him in the discharge of those responsibilities.

The Governor stated this weekend at a 50th birthday thanks giving reception organized for the speaker of the House of Representatives at his Bogoro hometown which attracted encomiums and praises from relatives friends and associates from across the country that converged at GSS Gwaranga in Bogoro, venue of the event.

Rt. Hon, Yakubu Dogara, who clocked 50 years on December 26th, 2017 has his birthday anniversary celebration started in Abuja with a book launch where over N300 million was realized through donations by various personalities at the grand event.

The chairman of the occasion, ‎who is also the Governor of Plateau state; Simon Lalong represented by his deputy, Professor Sunny Tyoden congratulated Speaker Yakubu Dogara for attaining the age of 50, saying however that his achievements were what matters most.

Lalong urged the speaker to remain focus and diligent in discharging his duties alongside his other colleagues in the national assembly as according to Lalong, “your ascent from a floor member to the‎ Speaker was a special calling for you to serve your constituency Bauchi State and the nation in general..

Speaking on behalf of members of the House of Representatives, the chairman of the House committee on Interior, Hon. Jagaba Adams Jagaba describes Dogara as a good leader who leads by example and sets a record that will be difficult to break.

Jagaba pointed out that Speaker Yakubu Dogara has brought tremendous development to the nation’s 8th House of Representatives as its Speaker through his exemplary leadership acumen.

“Dogara has helped in bringing legislations which brought about the creation of agencies like the North East Development Commission, meant to help in rebuilding and bringing succour to the people of the sub-region”. Jagaba noted.

Also speaking Bauchi state chairman All Progressives Congress (APC), Uba Ahmed Nana represented by one of the state executives of the party, Barrister Lawan Mohammed said that the party is proud of the speaker as he has become leading light in the revolutionary struggle to serve Nigeria.

While responding, speaker Yakubu Dogara who noted that his election to the House of Representatives signifies the unity and hope of his people assured Nigerians of continued effort by the green chamber of the National Assembly under his leadership to support and initiate policies and laws that will better their lives.

The speaker, who also commended the people that organized the reception for him, thanked God for his mercies on the golden age he attained, and commended his constituents for electing him over time to represent them.
