Prize money for the Maiden Solution Community Shield Football Championship is N3.5 million- organizers

A regal sum of N3.5m has been set aside as prize money in the inaugural edition of the Solution Community Shield Open Football Championship, scheduled to begin on October 8, 2023.

In Awka, the state capital, organizers announced that third-place finishers would receive a consolation award of N500,000 and that overall victors would receive N2,000,000 as their winning prize.

The championship, which is being organized by the Anambra State Football Association, Association of Anambra State Town Unions (ASATU), Anambra State Sports Development Commission, and the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, will begin on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the Awka City Stadium at precisely 12 o’clock.

Following the completion of the inaugural Anambra All Stars Football Competition, which was organized by the former Nigerian international “General” Chikelue Iloenyosi, is the Solution Community Football Championship.

There is no age restriction for the Solution Community Shield Football Championship, DailyTimesNGR gathered.

In detailing the rules for the competition, Raphael Nweke, Acting Secretary of the Anambra FA, stated that it will take place at the community, local government, and state levels.

During the opening ceremony, each team is required to present a 40-man contingent of supporters who are fully attired in their team colors.

There will be individual prizes in the categories of Best Goalkeeper, Best Behaved Team, Most Valuable Player, and Golden Boot awards in addition to the substantial prize money.

At the community and local government levels, the championship will be played out on a knockout basis, and selected players will be a part of the state squad, Solution FC.
