Prince Ayoade Adewopo has felicitated with His Imperial Majesty, Arole Oodua, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the occasion of this year’s Olojo festival which grand finale comes up this weekend. Olojo festival is an annual event on the cultural calendar of the ancient city of Ile Ife, to celebrate a progenitor of Yoruba race, and to pray for peace, tranquility and prosperity of the city of Ile Ife, Yoruba nation and the country at large.
The Ile Ife born Prince who is also a PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Osun State, particularly eulogised Ooni Ogunwusi for reshaping the annual cultural event into a tourist attraction for people around the world, thereby bringing the ancient city more to the world map.
While advocating more support for the monarch in his efforts to rebuild Ile Ife into a modern cultural city, Prince Ayoade Adewopo called on the people of the town to celebrate moderately and conduct themselves peacefully during and after this year’s Olojo festival. He however called on the state government to brace up and bring about practical frameworks capable of augmenting the dwindling State’s PAYE IGR propelled economy with legitimate accruals from events like the Olojo festival.
