Presidential Support Committee Welcome Akpabio’s Appointment

Members of the Presidential Support Committee, (PSC) has welcomed the appointment of former Akwa Ibom State Governor and former senate minority leader, senator Goodwill Akpabio by President Muhammadu Buhari as it’s National Coordinator. Speaking with journalist in Abuja on January 16, 2019, Ms Bridget Torbua, Public Relation Director of the committee described Senator Akpabio as a well focus and great achiever who is modest and delivers on every responsibility given to him. According to Ms Torbua, Senator Akpabio’s appointment as the National Coordinator of the Committee is as a result of his starling gubernatorial and legislative records which has earned him the name ‘Uncommon Transformer’. Ms Torbua said Senator Akpabio alongside Senior Special Adviser on Political Matters to Mr. President, Rt. Hon Gideon Sammani can take the committee to the next level. She said ” Now that the Uncommon Transformer himself has come to be the National Coordinator of PSC, the sun will rise on the committee” She added that, “The committee will continue to present President Muhammadu Buhari to Nigerians as the only option.” The appointment was made known on Thursday, December 27,2018, by President Muhammadu Buhari on his flag off canpaign in Uyo the Akwa Ibom State capital.
