Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, has urged those who may still be aggrieved by the outcome of the March 28 Presidential election to emulate the selflessness and magnanimity of President Goodluck Jonathan, who conceded victory to General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), so that Nigeria may enjoy peace and march to greatness and prosperity.
Anenih commended President Jonathan’s statesmanship in conceding defeat, saying he had made an indelible mark on the sands of time. He also congratulated General Buhari on his victory at the polls and hoped that his administration would take Nigeria to greater heights. The PDP BoT chair, in a two-page statement on Monday, in Abuja, titled, “Marching on with Hope”, said: “A keenly contested Presidential election, which many predicted would spell doom for Nigeria, has ended, gloriously, with everyone a winner”.
