Power Oil:Consumers laud new product

In line with its commitment to promoting a healthy living while encouraging Nigerians to maintain a healthy body fitness into the New Year and beyond, Power Oil, has organized the fourth edition of its annual consumer engagement activity tagged: “Power Oil Pay with Calories.”
The activity, which began exactly four years ago, engages consumers in a series of exercise on treadmill and cyclers, which eventually sees them getting rewarded with amazing gift items depending the amount of calories being able to burn within a specifies time on the spot.
The event, which took place recently in Lagos created an exciting platform for the brand to cater for its customers’ health in a fun, relaxing and rewarding manner.
In deed, various gift items were laid out for consumers to pick from as per calories burnt within a specified time.
In support of the target of the World Heart Federation to reduce premature cardiovascular disease deaths by 25% in 2025, it has become more important for Power Oil to encourage Nigerians to join hands in ensuring the possibility of this.
Speaking at the event, the Brand Manager, Power Oil, Amisha Chawla, said that the experiential campaign was borne out of the necessity to encourage Nigerians to further become mindful of their heart health by making efforts to maintain good body fitness and possibly eliminate unhealthy consumption habits, as these factors are important to lowering the risk of blood pressure and heart-related ailments.
“The activation is simply to promote healthy living by encouraging Nigerians to pay more attention to their body and be cautious about the quality of what they consume in order to maintain a healthy heart. We try to advice against the consumption of low-quality or sub-standard cooking oil, which, on the long run puts consumers at risk of heart related diseases and other health hazards,” she said.
The Public Relations Manager of Power Oil, Omotayo Azeez, said considering the kind of lifestyle pattern people live these days; and other responsibilities, you find out that they are left with little or no extra time to dissipate on fitness activities; and making a healthy meal choice also becomes a challenge especially because of the festivity in the air.
“So, we saw this as an opportunity to fit in the pay with calories 4.0 activity into this period, Nigerians will be encouraged to carry on with the healthy spirit into the New Year and beyond till it because an attitude. And we are happy that a lot of Nigerians took advantage of this and showed up en-mass.

Mr. Adio Muse, a participant, who lost up to 15 calories and got rewarded with a pair of sneakers, commended the brand for being consumer-centric.
