Power oil, Kaduna State collaborate on community engagement

It is yet another commendable step for Raffles Oil LFTZ Enterprise, makers of cooking oil brand, Power Oil, to have entered into another partnership with the Kaduna State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development through its medical outreach project, Power Oil

Health Camp Project to provide free basic medical health check-up for the indigenes.
The collaboration was officially flagged off by the Executive Governor of Kaduna, Mallam Nasir El- Rufa’i(OFR) and his wife Arc. Hadiza Isma El- Rufa’i during the 2nd Kaduna Women Economic Empowerment Summit, themed: “Enabling Access & Participation Linking Women to Resources”, held at Arewa House recently in Kaduna.

Power Oil Health Camp which is already established in 13 locations across Nigeria offering free basic medical health check up to communities in the area of BMI check, Blood pressure & free medical consultation will be moving from one Local Government to another in Kaduna together with another team of medical experts being deployed by the Kaduna State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development to conduct HIV & Malaria test.

Commenting on the partnership, Amisha Chawla, Brand Manager, Power Oil said this collaboration with Kaduna State through the Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Development means a lot to the brand, as the long term plan is to cover the entire nation promoting a good eating habit and ultimately healthy lifestyle amongst Nigerians.

The Honorable Commissioner, Kaduna State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajia Hafsat Mohammed Baba stated that a healthy and empowered woman is the key to a prosperous future in the state and the society at large, that is why it is important working together towards the pursuance of the Agenda of gender and social inclusion policy to protect women and girl child in the state with the support of the Executive Governor of the Kaduna State.

Honourable Commissioner expressed gratitude while commending the private institutions that have come onboard to support the effort of the Ministry and Kaduna State towards ensuring a healthy state especially for the women. We see this as an excellent partnership with the Power Oil team and we hope that it will be sustainable enough to comb through the rural areas so they also can get properly enlightened about living a healthy lifestyle.

According to Omotayo Azeez, Public Relations Manager, Power Oil, she said that the medical teams will be moving around from places to places presenting the opportunity to free BMI & blood pressure check, HIV & Malaria test, heart health talks, product give away etc.
