Porto signs Nigerian left-back Zaidu Sanusi

FC Porto have signed Nigerian leftback Zaidu Sanusi from another club in Portugal, Santa Clara, the Portuguese champions announced officially.

The deal is reportedly worth €4m and Sanusi signed a five-year contract till 2025. His speed and crosses stood him out in his breakout season at Santa Clara and he caught the eye of Portugal’s biggest club.

He started his football career with Mutunchi Academy in Kaduna.

He moved to Portugal in 2016 and signed for Gil Vicente and was immediately loaned out to Mirandela where he spent two seasons on loan before making the move permanent.

He joined Santa Clara in 2019 and put in impressive displays that attracted Porto, who have signed him to a contract until 2025
