Polls; INEC Deploys 45,000 Adhoc Staff in Kano
Kano Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Munkaila Abdullahi yesterday Thursday announced that at least 45000 adhoc staff has been deployed by the electoral umpire for the running of tomorrow’s Presidential election.
Speaking with newsmen in Kano, Alhaji Abdullahi said that the new staff would complement its regular staff during the exercise.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner disclosed that sensitive materials have been distributed across the 44 local governments, and that officials at the local council would distribute them across the 484 political wards in the state.
He also revealed that over 4 million PVC have been distributed to registered voters and that the figure is expected to rise before the day ends.
Alhaji Abdullahi affirmed that the electoral umpire has everything ready to conduct free and fair elections and called on voters to abide by the rules of the exercise to ensure free and fair election.
