Political future of Ebonyi PDP brighter, PDP Caretaker C’ttee Chair assures

The Ebonyi State Caretaker Committee Chairman, Barr. Ekuma Emmanuel, Tuesday assured Nigerians that the political future of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is bright, not minding the present challenges facing the Party.

The PDP Stalwart added that the Party is gearing up to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians even as the 2027 general election gathers momentum in the State.

Disclosing this in his Christmas Message titled: “Message of Hope, Courage, and Progress of the PDP family in Ebonyi State”, Barr. Ekuma enjoined members of the Party to use the Christmas season to reflect on the Party’s journey so far and chart a new course for the PDP family in Ebonyi State.

According to his message: “The Christmas season is a period that offers Christians the opportunity to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross of Calvary for all of humanity.

“This period is essential and significant as it brings people of all walks of life together to share in the joy and significance of the moment.

“The Christmas season is often characterised by lots of togetherness, demonstration of forgiveness for one another and the need for people of all races and tribe, irrespective of Party affiliation, to reflect on their lives and chart a new course for a better tomorrow.

“The birth of Jesus Christ is also significant as it opens the door for something new to happen in our lives, families, work, State and the Nation at large. I want to urge members of PDP to use this period of the Yuletide to reflect on the past, present and make sustainable and progressive projections into the future of our great Party.

“Let me say that we as a Party are poised to surmount all our challenges against all odds and with God on our side, we shall remain a strong and indivisible political Party, that is anchored on the tenets and virtues justice, equity and fair play.

“I want to use this significant moment to appeal to all our Party faithfuls and leadership to incline to the doctrine of forgiveness, love for another and peace as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

“Let’s utilize the significance of the moment and inject new aspirations, vigour, possibilities and initiatives into the machinery of the Party. Let’s join hands together and move the PDP family in Ebonyi State forward.

“It’s time for the Party to regain its lost glory in Ebonyi State by working collectively as a united entity geared towards building the structure and capacity of the Party at all levels, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“My special appreciation goes to the FCT Minister, Nyeson Wike as our National leader, Senator Anyanwu as our South East General Leader and Hon. Good luck Chidiebere Egwu as our National Vice Chairman, South East zone even as i wish us a Merry Christmas and a prosperous Happy New Year in advance.”
