Policeman dies of coronavirus at FMC, Abeokuta
The Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, has confirmed the death of an out-patient police officer who died as a result of coronavirus complications.

The centre on Saturday, also confirmed that two of its staff, a nurse, an administrative officer and three other patients have tested positive for the coronavirus, stating that the policeman died before the result of his test came out.
A statement signed by Segun Orisajo, the image -maker of the centre, said the deceased was attended to at the general out-patient department about three days ago and later died same day.

Orisajo said the result of his test returned positive on Sunday morning.
“The body of the deceased is being prepared for release to his family for burial in strict compliance with the World Health Organisation’s guidelines.
“All staff who came in contact with the deceased are currently on self-isolation,” the statement said.
