Police nab barber for allegedly defiling minor in Delta
Police detectives in Asaba, Delta state in the early hours of Friday arrested a 26-year-old barber, Christian Nwogu for allegedly defiling a two-year-old girl (name withheld).

The suspect, as confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, is a native of Obiaruku Community, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta state, but lives at 42 Osadenis Road in Asaba where the victim also lives with her aunt.
Onovwakpoyeya addef that the suspect committed the crime on Thursday when the girl’s aunt was away in search of food items for cooking during the lockdown.
It was gathered that the victim was delivered out of wedlock and her mother had remarried, leading to the aunt acting as guardian to the victim.
Christian was said to have allegedly lured her with biscuits to his apartment where he violated her.
Trouble started when the victim’s aunt on her return, discovered her niece crying with blood stains in her pants.
Upon investigation she discovered that the girl had been violated.
The victim’s aunt, Julie Nwokocha, who spoke to journalists in Asaba said that ” the little girl was crying when I took her to the bathroom and I discovered her private parts with injuries.

“When I asked her, she was still crying and took me to Christian’s apartment and he denied having anything to do with her, but one of our neighbours confirmed that he saw when he gave her biscuits and dragged her into his room.
“I then rushed to the police station to report the incident and the police arrested him and he thereafter, admitted to the crime.”
Sources said that Christian who often wears Afro hair style, allegedly abuse underage girls in his Community, a situation he was warned against the act or be banished by the monarch, leaving him with no option than to fled the Community to Asaba where nemesis caught up with him.
