Police nab 2 brothers with fresh human head in Ekiti
Barely 72 hours after a man was beheaded and carried away by unknown persons in Ekiti State, two brothers, of the same parent, David Oluwatosin and Tosin Oluwatosin, have again been caught with fresh human head in Ifaki Ekiti, in Ido Osi Local Government of the state.
The first two incidents of beheading in the state was recorded earlier in the year during the heat of the Ayede-Itaji land dispute, in Oye Local Government of the state, while the latest beheading became the third within three weeks.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Adeyemi Alberto, who confirmed the story to journalists in his office in Ado Ekiti yesterday, however disclosed that David, the second suspect is at large.
Adeyemi disclosed that Tosin was arrested with the fresh head in Ifaki Ekiti, in Ido Osi Local Government of the state around 3.35pm on Tuesday, February 14, following an intelligence report. He said, “Yes, it is true. One of the suspects is on the run.
The victim is about 12 years old, but we are still looking for the severed body and we are also on the trail of the one at large.
After investigation, the suspects would be charged to court.” The PPRO, who decried incessant beheading in the state, said the police would also investigate if the two brothers had hand in the first two beheadings.
