Police Kills Five Kidnappers in Anambra

Less than 48 hours to the general election in the country, kidnap and armed robbery suspects have laid siege to Anambra State.
In a gun battle, on Thursday, in Onitsha and Eziowelle communities, between the kidnap suspects and the state police command, five of the suspects were killed.
Also, over two hundred thousand fake naira notes were recovered from them ,including two AK-47 rifles, four AK magazines, 117 rounds of ammunition, 30 live cartridges and a pump action gun.
A computer science student of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu University (COOU), formerly Anambra State University (ANSU) Anyaegbunam Anthony, was arrested snatching hand bags, phones and other belongings at gun-point at Upper Iweka.
Apart from the student, 17 other persons were also arrested by the police command for various offences ranging from robbery, rape, false information, diversion of goods, to murder.
