Police Kill Robbery Gang Leader, Arrest Three Others
Men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of Osun State Police Command have killed the leader of a six-man robbery gang on Tuesday while three others were arrested.
It was gathered that the notorious armed robbery gang was involved in regular robbing of passengers on the Ife/Akure Ex-pressway.
A source close to the state police command said, “Preliminary investigations revealed that Abbey, who was also called Iku, was the leader of a six-man gang of robbers that had been terrorising motorists on Ife-Akure expressway.”
