Police free human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore

Sowore, South-West

Omoyele Sowore, a human rights activist, was arrested at the Federal High Judge in Abuja and released after the court deferred the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra.

Sowore revealed this in a video he posted on social media on Monday.

“We’ve been set free. We were apprehended by the police as we approached the courthouse to observe the proceedings. They took our cards, which were used for coverage, and wiped them,” Sowore claimed.

On Monday morning, security agents allegedly arrested Sowore during a Facebook Live session.
