Police arraign business woman for making threatening calls to neighbour
The police on Wednesday arraigned a 37-year-old business woman, Ruth Uduebor, in a Wuse Zone II Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly making threatening calls to her neighbour.
Uduebor, who is lives at Block 5, Area 10, Garki, Abuja is charged with criminal intimidation.
The prosecutor, Mr Oyeyemi Adeyemi, told the court that the case was reported at Wuse Police Station in Feb. 24, by a housewife, Gloria Usoro, who lives in Block 5 flat 10, Dankama Close, Area 7 Garki, Abuja.
Adeyemi alleged that the defendant called Usoro on the phone and threatened to hurt her.
He said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 397 of the Penal Code.
After the charge was read to her, she pleaded not guilty.
Chief Magistrate Olubunmi Folashade, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200, 000.
Folashade ordered the defendant to produce one surety who must reside within the jurisdiction of the court.
She adjourned the case until April 16 for hearing. (NAN)
