Police apprehend robbery suspect, 2 rapists in Yobe

The Yobe state Police Command has disclosed that an armed robbery suspect, Gambo Dahiru of Bara Kakura Village has been arrested by detectives.
This was contained in a press release issued to journalists by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Dungus Abdulkarim on Thursday.

The police spokesman said the suspect was arrested while trying to obtain N3 million from his victim, Mamman Ahmed of Gulani Local Government Area.
According to Dungus, the suspect was arrested in an operation conducted by the Bara Police Divisional and detectives from the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB).
He said the command has intensified efforts to trail other fleeing syndicate members for interrogation and prosecution. Also, one, Adamu Abdullahi, of Dogon Zare Base Centre, Potiskum has been arrested for rape.

The police image- maker stated that the suspected rapist was nabbed for sexually molesting a 10 -year -old girl by having canal knowledge of her at a nearby factory.
According to the police, the culprit took advantage of the teenager who went to the factory to purchase table water for her mother.
Dungus disclosed that in the same week, the police in Potiskum apprehended another man, Mohammed Sani for allegedly raping a 12 –year- old girl in a room located in Hamdala Bread Bakery, Potiskum.
He said that the suspect also took advantage of the victim when she went to buy bread for her mother by luring her into a room and had sex with the victim, adding that investigations into both cases have since commenced.
