Plateau United unveil Ahmed Ibrahim as technical director

The Jos side have appointed a new Technical Director to help them scout quality players in the Nigerian league.
The General Manager of the club, Pius Henwan who unveiled the owner of Golden Boots Football Academy of Bukuru in a short ceremony on Tuesday said some of the term of reference given to Ibrahim is to scout and recommend talents to be recruited by the club with the support of club head coach, Kennedy Boboye.
Henwan told Goal: “We have decided to fill the void in the team with the appointment of Technical Director. Ahmed Ibrahim is a known person in the football circle and we have chosen him to help us fish out hidden talents and possible transfer targets in the premier league. He will work in tandem with our head coach, Kennedy Boboye.
“We are expecting him to get us good players that he has discovered in the league and other spheres. We don’t want to give any chances and it is the sole reason we have employed someone we feel is good in that clime to help us get the best talents in the league.”
Ibrahim was responsible for the discovery and marketing of several talented footballers including Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa, Gent of Belgium, Simon Moses and Wikki Tourists’ Godwin Obaje among others.
Meanwhile, Plateau United played their first pre season friendly match in Abeokuta on Tuesday against Ango FC of Ibadan whom they beat 2-1 with John Kim accounting for the Jos side’s two goals. Ango FC are campaigning in the Nigeria Nationwide League.
