Plateau moves to revamp agriculture, create jobs

Plateau State Government has said that the Governor Simon Lalong- led administration, is determined to turn around the economic fortunes of the state through harnessing of its huge agricultural potential.

Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Hitler Dadi made this known while speaking at the Jos Trade Fair currently in the state.

“The Lalong- led administration is determined to create a conducive environment for business to thrive; and that is why the administration is working hard to ensure that peace is restored in Plateau.

“The APC government of Plateau would continue to support initiatives that would promote industrialisation and business in the state, aimed at creating employment for the teeming youths of Plateau”, the commissioner said.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Management Committee Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council, who spoke on behalf of other LGA chairmen, said Plateau is exceptionally unique, particularly considering its vast agricultural economic and industrial potentials as well as very enterprising and hospitable people.

He said the zone has produced very high profile personalities of repute in virtually all spheres of human endeavors that have bequeathed indelible footprints in the annals of history of Plateau state.

He said, “We applaud the untiring effort of Lalong for his unprecedented developmental strides, particularly his genuine commitment towards diversification of the economy of the state through industrialization, entrepreneurship and agriculture as well as sustenance of peace and security throughout the state.

We implore members of the business community to take advantage of our abundant potentials as the Lalong led administration is determined to provide a conducive, viable and safe environment for investors.”
