The Plateau House of Assembly on Wednesday confirmed the nomination of Mr Yakubu Dati, the former General Manager, Cooperate Communication in the Federal Airport Authority (FAAN) to serve as a commissioner in the state.
Dati was confirmed alongside Luka Madaki and Chris Ahmadu after scrutiny by members of the Assembly.
Recall that Gov. Simon Lalong, had on Feb. 8 dissolved his entire cabinet and on Feb. 13 the governor sent the three names to the Assembly to be screened and confirmed as commissioners.
Dati, a former commissioner in the state under the leadership of former Gov. Joshua Dariye, also served as Special Adviser on Media and Political Affairs to the former Minister of Commerce and Industry.
Confirming the nominees, Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Peter Azi, urged them to promote and project the state in good light, particularly to the outside world.
Azi advised them to bring their wealth of experience to bare, and ensure that the programmes of government were well articulated before the people of the state.
He also urged them to be accommodating, humble and accessible to the people of the state.
