Benue State on Thursday, held a mass burial for 75 indigenes of the state who were killed in the Fulani herdsman massacre that took place on New year day and January 6th respectively.
They were all laid to rest drequiema requim mass held at the IBB square in Makurdi. It was attended by the state governor, Samuel Ortom, his wife and other government officials, as well as other residents of the state.
Thereafter the remains of the deceased were taken to a site where they were all buried.
Among those that were buried were four-year-old Terkaa and Mrs Sarah who was killed with her eight months pregnancy.
May their souls rest in peace, Amen.
