PFF, an NGO urges Nigerians to vote for continuity

A Non-governmental Organisation, NGO, Progressives Friends Foundation ,PFF, has urged Nigerians to vote enmasse for President Goodluck Jonthan at the March 28 elections, calling on Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of continuity to foster unity and enhance efficient delivery of services and stability of the country..

In a communiqué signed by its Director- General , Pat Oramah, and issued to press men in Minna, at the weekend, after its stakeholders meeting in Abuja, the NGO stated that Nigeria is too large, precious and her unity pregnant with significance to be allowed into the hands of those whose minds are filled with bigotry.
The communiqué urged Nigerians to disregard groups using politics of fear for cheap political gains noting that the President’s campaign profile is devoid of acrimony.
PFF deplored the activities o some group who use violence and other acts that are detrimental to the conduct of free and fair elections as tools for political ascendancy.
The group added that Nigerians should continue to uphold the unity and stability of the country, ”as we cannot afford to fail the present and future generations through acts that are inimical to its existence”.
The communiqué called on Nigerians to resist all forms of intimidation capable of triggering disunity in the country.
The PFF urges the people to champion the spirit of live and let live among Nigerians, irrespective of political affiliations.
The group called on its members as part of campaign strategy to debunk the antics of the opposition whose preoccupation is to grab power at all costs instead of focusing on issue based campaigns.
