Perimeter fencing of schools in Anambra to continue-Obiano

Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, says he will continue to intensify efforts at providing adequate security in all primary and secondary schools across the state.

The governor said this during his political rally at Ojoto, headquarters of Idemili South Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Obiano said he had directed for the installation of perimeter fencing in all primary and secondary schools in the state.

“This is to ensure proper security of lives of students and teachers.

“Welfare of students and teachers is my utmost priority. I will ensure my administration provides every facility they need to improve learning for maximum productivity,’’ he said.

While urging people to propagate the good works of his administration, Obiano promised to inaugurate the ongoing electrification project before the election.

“Idemili North and South will benefit from the ongoing electrification project that will cover 33 communities.

“When completed, it will beautify the communities, provide more security and boost Internationally Generated Revenue (IGR),” Obiano added.

A former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Chairman Obiano Re-Election Committee, Chief Victor Umeh, noted that Obiano’s victory would further expand windows of development and provide more resources that would strengthen the economy of the state.

The member representing Idemili South in the state House of Assembly, Mr. Chuka Ezenwune and the traditional ruler of Alo Kingdom, Igwe Mac Anthony Chinedu, confirmed that Idemili South had been in the forefront of development since the present administration came into power.
