The Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has been declared the winner of the state’s suppementary election which held on Saturday.

Ikpeazu polled 264,713 as against 180,882 votes of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Alex Otti.
It will be recalled that the returning officer for Abia, Benjamin Ozumba, on April 12, said there were irregularities in nine local government areas (LGAs) and subsequently declared the election inconclusive.

However, supplementary election held in Aba north, Aba south, Ikwuano, Ohiafia, Osisioma, Ugwunagbo, Umuahia north, Umuahia south and Umunneochi.
