PDP’ll regain power in 2019 –party chieftain
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will regain power back in 2019 after playing a role of opposition in the country, said a leader of the party in Ondo state, Hon. Andrew Ogunsakin. He expressed the hope while addressing reporters in Okitipupa.
He noted that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed the Nigerian masses in its three years of reign.
Hon. Ogunsakin stated that poverty is all homes of the country as a result of the ineptitude of the government of the APC.
The PDP leader spoke after his annual empowerment programme for the youth in Igbotako, Okitipupa local government area of Ondo state.
He said the Peoples Democratic Party is now stronger and prepared to take back the reign of power for the deceit of the government of the ruling party.
According to him, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party would come out to be more united ahead of future elections.
“People are tired of lies and propaganda from them (APC) and they want the real change come 2019.
“In the last two years, we can see our economy, health, education, security and all other areas have been bastardized by the APC.
“The APC has nothing to offer, and this has led to poverty, unemployment and from what the people are saying in the streets, PDP is the party come 2019,”
Ogunsakin later commended the leaders of the PDP both at the federal and zonal level for their efforts on reconciling the aggrieved members.
“I want to commended the leadership of the party especially the National Vice Chairman (South West) Dr. Eddy Olafeso for their reconciliation moves across the country and states in order to see PDP members more united ahead of the coming elections,” he said.
He also urged the people in the country and the state to support the PDP as it is set to offer them renewed dividends of democracy in the country.
