The governorship candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade, has been declared the winner of the governorship election in the state, having polled 342,016 votes to beat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Odey Ochicha, who gathered 53,983.

The Labour Party candidate, Fidelis Ugbo, garnered 36,918 votes.
The Cross River State Collating Officer, Prof. Comfort Ekpo, declared Ayade the winner in the early hours of Monday in Calabar.
