PDP appoints Caretaker C’ttee in Delta, Enugu, Imo, Rivers, Osun states 

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the appointment of some  party leaders to the Caretaker Committees for Delta, Enugu, Imo, Rivers, and Osun states.

Mr. Theophilus Dakas Shan, National Organizing Secretary of the party said the approval is in consonance with the resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and pursuant to Section 29(2)(b) of the party Constitution (2025 as amended).

The Caretaker Committee members for Delta State are;  Prof. Sylvester Monye,  Chairman, Dr. Michael Tidi, Esq.Secretary, Ujor Ucheonny,  Pharm. Victor Ofobrukueta, Comdr. Johnbull Aghogho Kenairu, Jackson Agbor, Onajega Mike, Chief Ekiyor Charles,  Hon. Mrs. Vero Egbuna, Chukwunonso Alex Ndah and Walter Uguoye – Member

Enugu State Caretaker Committee members are; Barr. Steve Oruruo, Chairman, Martin Ugwuamadieze, Secretary, Ugwu Uchenna Godswill, Lilian C. C. Ugwuoke, Anikezie Michael, Cosmas Chinwe Ugwu, Barr. Basil Aguigwo, Chief Cosmas Onyia and  Barr. Peter Ajah.

For Imo State are; Chief John Jude Okere,  Chairman, Mr. Magnus Amadi , Secretary, Mr. Kenneth Ejiofor, Arc. Chinonso Odoemelam, Mr. Celestine Uwah, Mrs. Maria Osuigwe, Lady Love Orum, Engr. Promise Oneogwe and Mr. Hygienus Asoluka .

Rivers State Caretaker Committee members are; Ogbam Ojimah, Chairman, Dr. Field Baribeful Nkor, Secretary,

Richard Enyia Victor, Grace Boma Harry, Princess Isioma Stella Elenwa, Arc. Eldred Owupele-Orubo, Austin Emeka Wali, Mr. Ada Udong and Mr. Edward Nubari David .

Osun State Caretaker Committee members are; Hon. Tunde Tijani, Chairman,  Hon. Bamidele Seyi-Abiola,  Secretary, Hon. Lateef Mumini Obide, Alhaji Sarafa Gbadamosi, Hon. Adewoyin Babatunde,  Hon. Ajileye Wasiu Aderemi and Hon. Oluresi Michael Adebanji.

According to the National Organizing Secretary, the Committees are charged with the responsibility of managing the affairs of the party in their respective states, as stipulated in Section 21(2)(a-b) of the PDP Constitution.

“The tenure of these committees shall not exceed 90 days, or until such a time as a new Executive Committee is elected.

“In carrying out this assignment, Committee members must be strictly guided by: the PDP Constitution (2025 as amended), the Electoral Act, 2022 and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended)”, he added.
