Paul Usoro: FG should ‘rigorously pursue’ modernisation of Nigerian agriculture
Nigerian Bar Association presidential aspirant, Paul Usoro SAN says in order for Nigeria to metamorphose into an agro-industrialised economy, the federal government should at all levels rigorously push for and apply policies channelled towards improving the focus on agro-industries.

In a lecture earlier today at the NBA Calabar Branch Week, the leading commercial lawyer spoke on the tremendous investment opportunities that abound in the country’s agricultural sector, explaining that the drive to achieving an agro-industrialised economy must be complemented with an improvement of rural and other basic infrastructure which is critical to agricultural transformation and establishment of a seamless value chain like rural electrification, road/rail for transportation of agricultural produce and processed/finished goods, for export and domestic use alike.
In his closing remarks, he thanked the NBA Calabar Branch for focusing a spotlight on the mostly untapped agricultural opportunities in the Nigerian economy.
