Paris Saint-Germain stifled in Toulouse draw; Lyon rally late to beat Dijon

Paris Saint-Germain were held to a goalless draw by Toulouse that left them three points adrift of the Ligue 1 summit. The hosts, who had slipped to third in the table after Nice’s win over Lorient on Saturday, were looking to extend their winning streak to four league games but despite 14 shots throughout the game, they could not find the back of the net.

Toulouse beat PSG 2-0 back in September but Pascal Dupraz’s side could not break the deadlock to do the double over the reigning champions.

PSG, who beat Barcelona 4-0 in the Champions League in midweek, move above Nice into second in the table on goal difference.

Lyon scored three goals in ten minutes to complete a remarkable turnaround in a 4-2 Ligue 1 victory over Dijon.

Although Lyon have scored four times in three of their last four games, they are also leaking goals and Dijon led 2-1 before conceding an equaliser in the 80th minute.

Striker Alexandre Lacazette scored a penalty with six minutes left and forward Nabil Fekir finished off the visitors in the last minute of a hard-fought win that keeps alive Lyon’s faint chances of finishing third and securing a Champions League place.

Lyon are now in fourth place in the league table.

Montpellier picked up their third win in four games with a 2-1 victory over 10-man Saint-Etienne.

Lyon’s day got even better with news that bitter local rival Saint-Etienne squandered a lead to Montpellier before losing 2-1 at the Stade de la Mosson.

Winger Kevin Monnet-Paquet put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute, but midfielder Paul Lasne levelled for Montpellier in the 49th.

Two minutes later, Saint-Etienne forward Jorginho was sent off.

Benin striker Steve Mounie grabbed the winner — his 10th of the campaign — midway through the second half.

Saint-Etienne remain in fifth place, four points behind Lyon, while Montpellier are 11th.

Bordeaux move closer to the fourth place spot in the table with a home win over 10-man Guingamp.

Francois Kamano scored one and made another as Bordeaux beat Guingamp 3-0 to move level on points with Saint-Etienne.

The 20-year-old Kamano netted in the 13th minute and centre-half Nicolas Pallois headed home for Bordeaux just before half-time.

Guingamp defender Jonathan Martins Pereira was sent off in the 59th for a crude tackle from behind on the fleet-footed Kamano, who later picked out striker Gaetan Laborde with a quick pass for the third.
