Oyo NUJ holds 5th annual Shina Peller Ramadan lecture

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has said it has concluded plans on holding the 5th edition of the annual Shina Peller Ramadan Lecture/Iftar, saying it will hold on Saturday, April 8, by 4:00 p.m. at its secretariat in Iyaganku, Ibadan, the statee capital.
According to a statement jointly signed by the state NUJ chairman, Alhaji Ademola Babalola; and secretary, Sola Oladapo, the lecture is scheduled to hold at the Dapo Aderogba Hall, NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku, and it would be chaired by the Sponsor, Honourable Shina Peller of the Accord representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa of Oyo State. It added that Peller also holds the traditional title of the Ayedero of Yorubaland.

The union said the lecture; entitled; “Inescapable Rewards of Kept, Unkept Promises in Public Offices: The Islamic Perspective,” would be delivered by a renown Saudi Arabia-trained Islamic scholar and prominent cleric, Sheikh Hashim Atere.
It said the lecture was apt and timely ahead of the inauguration of the newly-elected public office holders in the just-concluded general elections.
