Oyi council throws support to APGA govt

It was a colourful celebration recently as All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) faithful in Oyi Local Government Area gathered in their numbers in solidarity and to endorse Governor Obiano for second term.
The event which took place at the local government secretariat attracted dignitaries and party loyalists from the communities in the local government.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, Governor Obiano promised to continue spreading his administrative benevolence for more development of meaningful projects in the area.
He said his administration had concluded the design of Ogbunike Cave to transform it to global tourism, which according to him, would promote business activities, attract tourists and add values to the state internally generated revenue (IGR).
“Some parties of the St. Monica’s roads leading to Ogbunike cave have been completed, while work is still on going.
“In my second tenure, I will embark on all major roads in communities in the local government, in addition to their street lighting.
“We are doing all these to transform the state and give it global attraction. So I encourage you to support our administration to achieve our goals and objectives.” Obiano added.
Also speaking, Commissioner for Information and Orientation Strategy in the state, Ogbuefi Tony Nnachetta, said: “Oyi is special in development of Anambra State. We support Obiano for his sincerity and determination to improve the welfare of the people.
“Obiano has delivered on the crucial needs of the communities. No kidnapping, and shops are always on in the night. People are moving freely, unlike what we experienced in the past,” Ogbuefi pointed.
The wife of late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Lady Bianca Ojukwu, revealed that APGA had kept faith with the people of the state and provided necessary infrastructure for the people.
“APGA is the only party that will guarantee justice and equity in dispensation of administrative excellence.
“It has delivered result in attraction of projects, security and rural electrification. It is the only party with Igbo ideology, “Ojukwu noted.
Also, one of the stakeholders in Ogbunike and the former Governorship aspirant in APC, Ogbuefi Harris Chuma, regretted that APC had no interest of Igbos, which according to him had given rise to marginalisation, intimidation, and victimisation of Igbos.
“Dumping APC is the best thing that has happened to me. Obiano has signature projects that have affected the lives of the people positively.
“We want to consolidate on Obiano’s agenda. We need sustainability and voting Obiano for second term is the best that will happen to the state, “Chuma observed.
Also, a major stakeholder in Ogbunike and the National Secretary, Obiano Re-election Committee, Hon Kene Enefe, attributed the existing peace in the state to the efforts of the present government.
Enefe observed that with maximum collaboration with security agencies, the state had experienced unprecedented inflow of investors, which had strengthen the economy of Anambra State.
Speaking equally, the Transition Chairman, Oyi Local Government Area, Hon Uche Okafor, said Oyi had been passionate about APGA government, which had been the government of the people.
Okafor said that one of the obsessions of the present administration was to sustain the security attained, and promote the state’s economy, geared towards making the state financially sufficient.
