Owerri stands still for Imo APC flag bearer, Senator Hope Uzodimma

The Sam Mbakwe Imo airport Owerri, on Wednesday, was flooded and blocked by Imo state indigenes, mainly All Progressives Congress (APC) party members, to welcome the party’s flag bearer, Senator Hope Uzodimma.

Senator Uzodimma arrived the airport in the afternoon, addressed his party members and Imo people, and thanked them for coming out in large number just to welcome him back to Imo state officially, after his trip to Abuja.

In the entourage were the Imo number two citizen, Prince Eze Madumere, Senator Ben Uwajumogu, Hon. Chief TOE Ekechi and others too numerous to mention.

The crowd that welcomed Senator Hope Uzodimma, in Owerri, were chanting: “Our saviour is here, our saviour is here”; ” You are the one we are waiting for, you are the one…”, “Winner oh oh oh, winner, Hope you don win oh winner, I say you go win again oh, Winner”.

A day before the arrival of Senator Hope Uzodimma, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, former chief of staff to the state governor was equally welcomed at the same airport, by party members.

It will be recalled that Senator Hope Uzodimma is the authentic APC flag bearer for the Imo gubernatorial election, according to the INEC list released recently, as the name of Ugwumba Uche Nwosu was conspicuously missing.
