An activist has called for the outlaw of sex robot’s which stimulate men to embark on rape, and debase their victims.
Roxxxy is the company’s flagship product and is a fully-customisable sexbot costing £7,700. As well as sex, True Companion says she can provide companionship and social support for lonely men.
Agency report, the Mirror in its recent report said that a barrister and campaigner has called for ban complete ban of advanced sex dolls that allow men to “rape”
Kate Parker, who founded the Schools Consent Project charity, singled out the Roxxxy sex doll launched by US-based True Companion.
The Roxxxy uses artificial intelligence to create different personalities that cater for user’s fantasies.
According to the campaigner, one of these modes called “Frigid Farrah” is configured in a way that enables the robot to resist sexual advances.
However, the company has maintained that the Robot is not programmed to participate in any kind of rape fantasy “and to suggest it does is “pure conjecture”.
However, the campaigner, Ms Parker branded the dolls as “a sinister development that normalises sexual violence”
“Some say these robots reinforce the objectification of women and the commodification of sex; others, that they allow otherwise isolated individuals to experience intimacy. Either way, Roxxxy is a different beast,” she wrote on the blog for her chambers, 5 Paper Buildings.
“The fact that she is not a thinking, feeling human does not make her existence unproblematic. The robots normalise sexual violence. They service and provide a distraction for criminal impulses that should probably be subject to psychiatric intervention.”
