Osun: Victims of Political Violence Urged to Seek Redress

Osun State Police Command has asked people who were molested or maltreated to report at the nearest police station in the state to lodge their complaints.
State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sam Okaula, gave the advice in Osogbo as the state prepared for the State House of Assembly election on Saturday.
According to him, “So far, the election process has witnessed relative peace and orderliness. The command expects such to prevail throughout the period of the remaining election.
“The command assures citizens who have been unjustly molested or have suffered any form of harassment or ill-treatment in the hands of thugs and criminals to report such incident to the nearest police station for appropriate actions”, he added.
Okaula also said that “Everyone is advised to eschew any act of violence. The command will not condone persons who engage in criminal and violent acts and we will ensure that the peace and security which citizens of the state currently enjoy are sustained”.
