Oritsefemi Majemite Ekele born 5 January 1985, in tolu complex olodi apapa ajeromi ifelodun local government area lagos state “ajegunle “.
His the 7th child out of the 27th children of his parents his is popularly known by his first name Oritse Femi, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter and a dynamic music performer. He is best known for his remake of Fela Kuti’s “Double Wahala” song.
His rendition of the song earned him numerous recognition and Award nominations whereby leading him to tour different countries all over the globe for a music concert and events.
He later went ahead to release the remix for his version of the song double wahala featuring D’banj.
The hit tracks from the album “MSN” was inspired by his personal experiences and how the prayers of his mom kept him strong and focused on his life achievement.
He explained that his life struggles made him a better man that he is today. He was part of the music group called the Junglist, compiled with two artist him alongside his duo chibudo they has 2 album title ; boys de binu also money na time , Oritse Femi has released eight albums since leaving Junglist.
These albums include; flop politicians “Wicked World”, “unfadeable “Musical Taliban” money stops Nonsense ” corporate miscreants ” life ” and most recently one ” idan ” Oritse Femi remained one of the most significant artist till date , sharing numerous stages with A-list Nigerian and international artists which shows how big the name Oritse Femi has become, having to feature some of the A-list artists on his songs.
Oritsefemi has dropped different hit songs like “Double Wahala” born to win ” Igbeyawo” happy day Ongbalarami ” to mention few , in an interview, he stated that the sufferings of the common man in Nigeria inspired him of his highly inspirational song.
“Mercies of the lord “He also said his experience living close to a flooded area in Ajegunle with water rushing into his home was an experience he always remembered with the song. His songs are evergreen.
And now his set to drop is 9th album project titled “onto the unknown” this album is set to revolutionize the music industry era. This most anticipated album of Oritse Femi 2025 project “Onto the unknown” is set to drop on the 9th of September.
