Though he clocked the age of 54 recently but we can tell you that Opeyemi Bamidele the vibrant and brilliant Iyin-Ekiti born and former Lagos State Commissioner for Sports and Social Development is already gearing up for the coming election in Ekiti state.
Though after his failure to take over the state house in Ekiti state not much has been heard from this graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University and University of Benin who decamped from APC to Labour Part to pursue his gubernatorial ambition but when he sent invites to his friends and colleagues for his birthday bash gist have it that he want to use the birthday celebration to resurrect his governorship ambition the birthday party was done in his Iyin Ekiti hometown in Ekiti state, last week Saturday 29th of July, 2017
“Bamidele still has his gaze on the governorship of Ekiti, even though he want to thread with caution and employ tact this time around” a very close confidant of Opeyemi confided in Daily Times
The tenure of the incumbent ends next year so there would be vacancy in the Ekiti come 2018
