One wounded in ambush in Plateau

An undisclosed number of people were on Monday ambushed near Jol village in Central Nigeria’s Riyom Local Government Area, of Plateau State.

The victims were said to have been coming from a neighboring community, Sho village on bikes when a group of armed men suspected to be Fulani, attacked them about 50mtrs to the village.

One of the victims reportedly sustained fatal injuries in the attack while others managed to escape.

Plateau Youth Council (PYC) Chairman of Riyom LGA, Solomon Dachung told our correspondent that the incident was reported to securities but could not confirm any arrest.

Security agencies were yet to comment on the issue as at the time of filing this report.
