Olubadan-Designate Hails Globacom as Nigeria’s Pride
The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has described Globacom as the pride of Nigeria, urging Nigerians to ensure the company continues to thrive.
Oba Ladoja made the remarks on Wednesday when the Enterprise Sales team of the telecommunications giant paid him a courtesy visit at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
According to him, Globacom transformed Nigeria’s telecoms industry by breaking the dominance of earlier operators and introducing innovative services that eased the burden on subscribers.
“But for Globacom’s intervention, Nigerians would have continued to struggle under the oppressive tendencies of earlier entrants, where people paid per minute even if all they said was ‘hello, how are you?’” The monarch-designate said.
He offered prayers for the continued well-being of the company’s Chairman, Dr Mike Adenuga Jr., and expressed optimism that Globacom would play a role in his coronation and beyond.
Earlier, Head of Enterprise Sales at Globacom, Mr Adeniyi Odejobi, congratulated Oba Ladoja on his forthcoming coronation, scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2025.
He conveyed the warm regards of the company’s Board and Management and assured the monarch of Globacom’s support.
“Globacom will support your office, and we will ensure that your telecommunications needs are fulfilled,” Odejobi stated.
