Ole Gunnar Solskjaer clears Nemanja Matic transfer rumors

With Nemanja Matic rumored to be on his way out of Old Trafford in January, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed the midfielder will stay at Manchester United until at least the end of the season.
Matic has fallen down the pecking order at United with the emergence of Fred and Scott McTominay and was linked with a move out of the club in the January transfer window.

Pogba and McTominay have suffered injuries recently that are likely to keep them out for more than a month, a situation that has limited United’s midfield options.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of their FA Cup clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Solskjaer provided a future update on Matic, “Nemanja will stay.
“There’s always a chance [of a new contract], of course, there is. It’s what you do on the pitch that’s the decisive factor. That’s football.
“If someone drops out you have to be ready and take your opportunity and I think he’s done okay.”
