Okpe Union decries PTI marginalization

The Okpe Union (World-wide) and Okpe Council have decried alleged continuous marginalization by Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, Delta State in the employment of their people over the years and more recently, the employment of junior cadre by the institute.

Speaking to journalists at Orerokpe, the President General of Okpe Union, Okakuro Robert Onome and the President General of Okpe Youth Council, Comrade Harrison Ekeleme said despite the fact that their community is oil bearing one, and host to the institution their people are always denied employment adding more recently, the institution employed junior cadre of workers, still their people who applied were denied.

They said the fact that Okpe people are peace loving does not mean they will fold their arms and watch their people being denied their rights.
