Okowa appoints Patrick Ukah as SSG

Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has appointed Mr Patrick Ukah as Secretary to Delta State Government.
The appointment comes weeks after Okowa dissolved the State Executive Council (SEC) and sacked all commissioners, Secretary to State Government, Chief of Staff to the Governor, and Special Advisers.
In a statement signed by the Head of Service and acting SSG, Mr. Reginald Bayoko, the date of the inauguration of the new secretary to state government is scheduled for Monday, 7 June, 2021 at 9.30am, Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba.
Ukah is the immediate past Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education and a former commissioner for information.
He is also the Chairman, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Delta State Chapter
Recall that the state Governor had last week released names of some persons he appointed as special Advisers, among others as will be sworn in on Monday net work in Asaba, Delta State.
Residents of Asaba and Okpanam Communities, One of them, the Ugoani of Okpanam, HRM Mbanefo Michael Ogbolu described Ukah’s appointment as well deserved adding that” Ukah’s appointment as SSG is well deserved. He is the right man for the job and I commend Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in his wisdom to appoint one of our own as SSG in the State”
Jubilation rented the air in Okpanam Community as the news of Patrick Ukah’s appointment filtered into the town. The celebrants have however prayed God to make Ukah enjoy his new appointment with a view to ensuring that area that were not attended to are carried out”
