Okowa absent at Ibori’s thanksgiving church service

There was no official reason given for his decision to stay away from the much publicised thanksgiving of Chief James Ibori, the fact is that the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, was conspicuously absent from the event which took plce in First Baptist Church Oghara on Sunday February 12 2017 .

As usual, his absence set lot of tongues wagging with many wondering why he chose to stay away just as others tried to come up with excuses on his behalf.

The thanksgiving, which has generated so much bad press for the Governor and Ibori, was attended by Okowa’s predecessor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduagan, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Barriste Kingsley Esisio and Chief Benjaim Elue who was Ibori’s deputy for eight years among other members of Ibori political family in the state.
