Okorocha, Araraume’s alliance against Ihedioha will fail again, says PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State has described the alliance newly formed between the immediate past governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 219 governorship elections in Imo State, Ifeanyi Ararume as unholy and totally unworkable.

The Imo State PDP’s Secretary, Nze Ray Emeana in an interview with Daily Times described the gang up as doomed to failed, stating that it was not the first time the duo have teamed up to work against the collective aspirations and wishes of the people of the state.
“The alliance is an unholy one which is doomed to fail. This is not the first time they have teamed up to work against the collective aspiration and wishes of Imo people.”
“It failed in the past because like now the alliance is not how to move Imo forward but about self interest. They have been rejected by Imo people and collectively Imo people will continue to resist their inordinate selfish ambitions,” he said.
Daily Times gathered that Okorocha and Ararume are working together to enhance their capacity against the incumbent People’s Democratic Party (PDP) government in Imo state under the leadership of Chief Emeka Ihedioha.
At the meeting held last Thursday at Urashi Resort, the Ogboko, Ideato South country home of the former governor, attendance was made up of 10 persons drawn from the Okorocha faction of the All Progressive Congress (APC); 10 persons from the Araraume faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and another 10 person drawn from the Uche Nwosu Action Alliance (AA) party.
Okorocha who addressed the gathering while Araraume largely concurred, announced the formation of a coalition which he said is going to be the rallying platform in anticipation of the outcome of the Supreme Court Judgment and subsequent political engagements for 2023.
The former governor noted that his son in-law had always been APC at heart saying; “Uche Nwosu was merely wearing Chelsea jersey inside with Manchester United jersey on top.
