Ojukwu University set to add another accreditation

All is set for final accreditation for the Law Faculty of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, (COOU) ) in Anambra State.

This was disclosed when the management of the institution received brand new 18 Seaters bus, one SUV and three Saloon Cars from Anambra State Government.

It was observed that the institution established to be an internationally acclaimed centre of excellence for scientific innovations, technological breakthrough and sustainable human development that would meet local, national and global socio-cultural and economic challenges.

The University has a philosophy to pursue academic excellence in all aspects of human endeavour relating to cultural, social and economic developmental needs of the nation. The University places high premium on arts, science and technology and their application to enhance the overall well-being of the society.

Presenting the bus, the State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano revealed that his administration had invested heavily to ensure speedy accreditation for every department in the University, alongside other institutions in the state.

Governor Obiano noted that through his efforts, the Teaching Hospital in the state had produced excellent and qualified medical doctors, in line with international practice.
He observed that his administration had provided adequate health facilities in various Health Centers in the state to promote prompt response to emergency situations and offer adequate attention to any health situations.

The Governor urged the faculty management to complement his administration’s imputs towards upgrading the faculty by ensuring that the quality of education offered students are of the best standards.

Responding, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Sylvester Madu thanked the Governor on behalf of the University management for his numerous imputs towards transforming the University to a world class institution and promised that the University would continue to drive the vision of the present administration as regards tertiary education.

Earlier addressing the press, Prof Madu emphasised the importance of education, saying Education is a very vital tool that is used in the contemporary world to succeed. It is important because it is used to mitigate most of the challenges faced in life. The knowledge that is attained through education helps open doors to a lot of opportunities for better prospects in career growth.”

Education has many benefits and has positive impact in our life. An educated person is an asset for any country. In today’s world, human capital is considered the best national resource. On one hand, he can explore better opportunities for himself, and on the other hand, the entire nation would get benefited from his works.” Prof Madu added.
