Ogun PDP Accuses Amosun of Purchasing 4, 000 PVCs
The Ogun State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party has accused Ogun State Governor and the All Peoples Congress governorship candidate in the April 11, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, of plans to rig the governorship elections in his favour.
In a press release signed by Comrade Ifekayode Akinbode, Director of Media and Publicity of Gboyega Nasir Isiaka Campaign Organisation, the PDP accused Amosun of purchasing many of the uncollected PVCs for underhand use by his party.
The statements read: “It has come to our notice that the Governor of Ogun State, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, has purchased many of the uncollected PVCs for underhand use of the APC.
“While Ogun INEC said about 400,000 cards remain uncollected, many of these cards are now in the possession of Amosun.
“This plot, according to what we’ve learnt, is the first in the line-up of a system, which the APC wants to deploy in rigging the gubernatorial and House of Assembly polls on Saturday.”
