Ogun development agenda key to South-West integration
          The ‎Ogun State Commissioner for Regional Integration, Bashorun Adebola Adeife has disclosed that the State’s development agenda programme would further promote the socio-economic development in the south west region of Nigeria.
          The Commissioner, in a statement through his Media Aide, Miss. Olawunmi Fadairo, said that it was imperative for South-West Regional States to develop the region through integration, noting that it was a collective responsibilities to get to the greater height.
          He said the Ministry was established to work in tandem with other South Western States of Ogun, Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun through the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN), saying that the Commission was saddled with the task of creating the collaborative frame work to achieve the integration of South West Nigeria development process.
          ‘’As a matter of fact, in the last few years, especially since the establishment of DAWN  in July 2013 as a coordinating institution that seeks to exploits the regions human and natural endowments, it has  leverage on the combined capacity of all the six States of the region’’ Adeife said.
          Adeife added that Ogun State was in forefront of infrastructural development such as road construction, housing and transportation to cater for its citizens as well as those from neighbouring states.
          He Highlighted the various benefits the State would gain for  participating in the regional integration to include, infrastructural development like Multi-model transportation, system high ways, rail, water, air, energy, power, good governance among others, adding that such benefits would further promote the socio-economic development of the State.
          ‘’The comparative  advantages which Ogun State has in collaboration in the areas of Regional Integration including, education development, agriculture and agricultural business, sports, infrastructure, transportation, power and security targeted at the socio-economic growth of the State in a way that will improve the standard of living of the citizens,’’ Adeife explained.
