Ogbemudia’s son tasks Buhari on Security

Following killings across the country by alleged Fulani herdsmen, Sam Ogbemudia Jnr, the first son of the late General Samuel Ogbemudia has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently address the
security problems currently dragging the nation back, so as to stop the careless wastage of lives and property.
He made the call at the first year anniversary remembrance of the death of his father, General Samuel
Ogbemudia, a former two- time governor of Bendel and Edo State at the weekend in Benin City.
The first son who led family members, friends and well-wishers to thank God for their lives in the past one year, also thanked the Federal Government led by President Buhari, the Edo and Delta State Governments, the Benin Monarch as well as the good people of Edo and Delta states for standing by them throughout the trying period.
According to Ogbemudia jnr., the amiable son of the late legend, it is the duty and responsibility of the Government to protect lives and property of its citizens and therefore, they have no excuse not to do that, as security gives sense of belonging to the ordinary man on the street.
He therefore urged the federal government to step up the security apparatus in order to curtail the current security challenges in the country.
