OFFICIAL: Dayo Ojo signs four-year deal with Al-Merrikh SC

Dayo Ojo has agreed a four-year deal with Al-Merrikh SC, joining the Sudanese side from Sunshine Stars for an undisclosed fee.

The pint-sized midfielder was said to be on the radar of several clubs, but the 16-time Sudanese champions were able to capture him to bolster their squad.

And Ojo said he is pleased to team up with Luc Eymael’s side from the Nigeria Professional Football League.

“I feel very excited to join the Sudanese giant because they are a great team with wonderful fans,” Ojo told Goal.

“I joined them because I see them as an ambitious side and aside from this, the terms and conditions are very okay by me.

“For me, my target is to win the Sudanese league with them and also the Caf Champions League.”

Ojo who is joined by former Sunshine Stars teammate, Kunle Odunlami faces a tough competition for place with Ragei Adbdalla, Ramadan Agab and Augustine Okrah.
