ODSFA Supporters Club begs Akeredolu to appoint Board members

The Supporters Club of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) on Thursday begged Governor Rotimi Akeredolu to appoint board members and chairman to manage the agency and Sunshine Stars.

Kunle Komolafe, Public Relations Officer and Emmanuel Oduyi, Chairman of the Supporters Club made the plea in a statement issued to journalists in Akure.

Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) is saddled with the responsibility of managing the Sunshine Stars and the Supporters Club said the lack of leadership at the football agency was affecting the performance of the team.

Both Komolafe and Oduyi claimed that nobody was ready to take responsibility mostly for the poor outings of the team.

Governor Akeredolu had appointed Gbenga Elegbeleye as the Chairman of the Committee to reposition the agency.

Elder Michael Adeyeye serves as the secretary and Tunde Ogunja as member of the committee.

Extra Time learned that the terms and reference of the committee was to reposition the agency and submit their report to the State government.

Meanwhile, the supporters club has also called on the League Management Company (LMC) to look at appointments of referees for matches in the league.

The supporters club, however, said it seems there was a strong conspiracy against the team and begged LMC to monitor events as it unfolds.

In the last four matches, Sunshine Stars had been defeated three times by Lobi Stars in Akure, Shooting Stars in Ibadan and recently by Plateau United in Akure, with the only win coming against Eyimba in Akure.

Sunshine Stars sit in the 17th position with goal difference separating them from the relegation zone.
